Win Streak at Six for Braves: W, 3-0

The Braves shut out the Carolina Mudcats 3-0 in front of 5,564 at Five County Stadium to run their winning streak up to six straight games. The Braves got five strong innings from Sean White as he scattered six hits and struck out four. Francisely Bueno made his return from the DL a successful one, tossing 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, while Zach Schreiber pitched on consecutive nights for the first time this season and picked up his team-leading 5th save of the season.

Matt Esquivel ended an 0-9 skid by finishing 3-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI single which was his team-leading 32nd RBI.

Mudcats starter Anibal Sanchez (2-5, 3.58 ERA) was victimized by an error in the fourth innings which allowed the first run. Then in the fifth the Braves touched him up for five singles, two of which were infield hits, which scored the other two runs.

The Braves continue on in Zebulon, North Carolina as they play game threeof a five-game set against the Carolina Mudcats Sunday afternoon at 1:00 CT. The Braves will send LHP Chris Waters (3-3, 3.75 ERA) to the hill while Carolina counters with LHP Paul Mildren (3-5, 4.31 ERA).
