Braves Even Series with Lookouts: W, 5-1

Onil Joseph picked up where Luis Hernandez (he went 5-5 Thursday night) left off starting the game 3-3 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs as the Braves evened up their 5-game series with Chattanooga at a game apiece in front of a season-high crowd of 5,650 at Trustmark Park.

Braves starter Sean White (4-3, 4.24 ERA) was nearly perfect scattering 4 hits through five innings and only allowing one baserunner past first base. Ryan Basner pitched two perfect innings of relief while Glenn Tucker pitched the eighth and gave up the only run of the game to the Lookouts.

Chattanooga starter Steve Kelly (7-4, 3.19 ERA), had his bid at the Southern League lead of wins shut down in the sixth on Onil Joseph's 2-run double. A night after the longest 9-inning game this season the Braves played one of the quickest at 2 hours and 24 minutes.

The Braves continue their final 10-game homestand of the season which will close out the first half as the Braves host the Lookouts in game three of the five-game set Saturday night at 7:05 CT.
