Braves Salvage Series Finale

Pearl, MS - The Braves avoided their first series sweep this year with a 4-run sixth inning in front of 2,229 at Trustmark Park. In a game that shifted back-and-forth between the Biscuits and Braves it was the sixth inning that did in Montgomery.

The Braves tried to help out the Biscuits with a 3-error inning in the third as the Biscuits took an early 2-0 advantage. The Braves tied it in the bottom of the frame and never trailed in the game after each completed inning.

Saltalamacchia and Arteaga each drove in 3.

The Braves travel to Mobile, AL to take on the Mobile BayBears in the first game of a five-game series Wednesday night at 7:05pm. RHP Daniel Curtis (1-1, 3.63 ERA) takes the hill for Mississippi while Mobile counters with LHP Roger Deago (2-0, 2.63 ERA). The Braves On-Deck Circle powered by Nextel will start things off at 6:05pm.
