Braves Walk Off with Finale: W, 6-4 (10)

Michael Rosamond launched an 0-2 pitch over the left field wall for his second walk-off homerun of the season as the Braves avoided a five-game sweep by the Mobile BayBears in front of 3,144 at Trustmark Park. For Rosamond it was his team-leading 14th Homerun and team-leading 45th RBI as the Braves rallied from an early 3-0 1st inning deficit to take the series finale.

The Braves pounded out 12 hits as Onil Joseph, Josh Burrus and Michael Rosamond all finished with multi-hit nights. Starter Dan Smith (3-6, 3.13 ERA) tossed six innings while allowing four runs including the three-run tater to Stephen Smitherman in the 1st inning. Arthur Santos tossed two scoreless innings of relief as he got out of a one-out bases loaded jam in the 8th inning. Joey Devine (2-0, 1.00 ERA) tossed two innings of scoreless relief as ge gave up a walk and struck out two.

Leo Rosales (4-6, 3.41 ERA), the fifth Mobile pitcher, was tagged with his second straight walk-off loss in a series finale. He also gave up a walk-off homerun to Scott Moore of West Tenn on August 19th as the BayBears lost 6-5.

The Braves will start up a five game set in Huntsville, Alabama at Joe Davis Stadium as they take on the Huntsville Stars, the AA Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, in the series opener. First Pitch is set for 7:05 PM (CT), but the game will air tape delayed at approximately 10pm after JA Football. The Braves are scheduled to send RHP Sean White (4-6, 4.75 ERA) to the hill, while the Stars are scheduled to counter with RHP Corey Thurman (5-9, 2.81 ERA). Don't forget if you're headed to the game then take your radio and tune to 103.9-FM exclusively at Joe Davis Stadium.
