Suns Eclipse the Braves: L, 3-2

The Suns continued their winning ways, with their franchise-high thirteenth straight win, a 3-2 over the Mississippi Braves in front of a crowd of 3,571 at Trustmark Park. The Suns got a season high 8 innings from TJ Nall (4-2, 3.29 ERA) as he struck out six and walked only one while allowing two runs to the Braves. In games started by Nall the Suns are now 5-0.

Daniel Curtis (2-5, 4.56 ERA) failed to factor in the decision as he left with the game tied in the seventh before Glenn Tucker came in on relief and allowed the go-ahead run to score in the eighth on a pair of doubles by the Suns. Tucker (0-2, 4.88 ERA) was making his first appearance on the mound since dislocating his shoulder Saturday.

Mark Alexander collected his team-high 15th save in 16 chances as he pitched a perfect ninth with a pair of strikeouts and a flyout.

The Braves continue their final 10-game homestand of the season which will close out the first half as the Braves welcome the defending Southern League Champion Jacksonville Suns in the second game of a five-game set Wednesday night at 7:05 CT.
