Braves Win Streak Ends at 3: L, 3-2

The Braves had early control Tuesday night in the series opener, grabbing a 1-0 nothing lead in the first. The Smokies rallied in the third to take the lead and never looked back stopping the Braves three game win streak with a 3-2 win in front of an announced crowd of 3,925 at Trustmark Park.

Francisely Bueno (1-4, 4.05 ERA) allowed all three runs while striking out five and walking two in his seven innings of work. Eric Schmitt pitched two scoreless innings in relief.

Smokies starter Matt Chico (5-2, 2.24 ERA) pitched six innings while scattering seven hits and allowing just the first inning run to the Braves.

Luis Hernandez broke out of an 0-18 slump with a 2-for-4 performance while driving in both runs for the Braves. Hernandez, Burrus and Jones registered two-hit nights, while Joesph, Canizares, Salty and Rozema each chipped in a hit.
