Braves Let One Slip Away: L, 4-3

The Braves let one slip away Wednesday afternoon as the Diamond Jaxx rallied from a 3-1 deficit to take game three of the series 4-3, in front of a crowd of 1,850 at Pringles Park. The Braves pen spoiled the first outing by Anthony Lerew (0-0, ERA) as he lasted four innings and allowed just one run on four hits while striking out two D-Jaxx. He was relived in the fifth by Dave Coggin after reaching his pitch count.

The Braves got two-hit games from Michael Rosamond, Ray Serrano and Mike Rozema but recorded just three hits after the second inning. For Mike Rozema it was his 200th career hit in the Minor Leagues. Rosamond finished with two hits and two RBIs while Brandon Jones recorded a double in his first AA at bat. Jarrod Saltalamacchia missed another game due to suffering in game one from heat exhaustion and not being able to recover from cramps.

The Diamond Jaxx bullpen combined to retire the last 13 batters they faced thanks to a game-ending line-out double play hit into by Mike Rozema. After the West Tenn starter Juan Mateo was ejected for hitting Yunel Escobar with a pitch in the fifth, the bullpen allowed only two hits the rest of the way.

The Braves will continue their five game set at Pringles Park in Jackson, Tennessee as they take on the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx in game four which is set for 7:05 PM (CT). The Braves will send RHP Matt Wright (7-2, 1.90 ERA) while the D-Jaxx counter with LHP Chris Shaver (4-4, 2.57 ERA).
