Braves & Stars Rained Out in Game 1: PPD

The Mississippi Braves and Huntsville Stars were rained out in the Southern League series opener between the two on Wednesday night as persistent rains fell from 6:30pm (CT) until the announcement at 7:30pm (CT).

The Braves and Stars will play a Doubleheader on Thursday with Game 1 starting at 6:05pm (CT)...Game 2 will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1. Scheduled starters are LHP Francisely Bueno (1-5, 3.98) vs RHP Corey Thurman (3-8, 3.06 ERA) in Game 1...LHP Chris Waters (7-10, 4.41 ERA) vs LHP Steve Hammond (3-4, 2.23 ERA) in Game 2.

The Braves On Deck Circle powered by Nextel will start things off at 5:45pm (CT). Don't forget if you're headed to the game then take your radio and tune to 104.3-FM exclusively at Trustmark Park.

* This marks the 3rd rainout this season for the MS Braves.
* Last season the Braves did not have a single rainout...the only games that were lost were due to Hurricane Katrina.
