Record Crowd at Trustmark Park: W, 4-2

The Braves used a two-run rally in 7th to post a 4-2 win over the Huntsville Stars in front of another new record crowd of 7,652 at Trustmark Park. Yunel Escobar delivered the deciding blow with a two-out bases loaded single to right driving in two...Escobar was caught trying to stretch a single into a double. The previous record crowd was 7,577 which was set Friday night. That brings the 2-game crowd to 15,229. The Braves also moved up to 4th in the Southern League in average attendance (3,816 per game).

Luis Hernandez was the Player of the Game as he finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored. The top 4 in the order Saturday night each got a hit after last night failing to record even one single.
Matt Harrison (3-2, 3.04 ERA) was robbed of a chance at his 4th win as Glenn Tucker (2-3, 3.79 ERA) was charged with a blown save but also picked up the win in relief. Zach Schreiber pitched the final two innings striking out five and picking up his 18th save in 19 chances.

CHIPPER REHABBING: Chipper Jones finished 1 for 2 on the night with a run scored. He finished 1-6 in his two rehab starts also with one error at 3rd base. He exited after his single in the 4th inning.

The Braves are 7-for-28 with runners in scoring position for the series while the Stars are 8-for-37. Former Itawamba JC product Tim Dillard (8-7, 3.30 ERA) pitched brilliantly allowing only one earned run through 6 innings before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the 7th inning. Of the 4 runs that scored by the Braves, only one was earned.
